Puppy patience 🐢

The puppies did really well in resisting the urge to run straight after the tasty treat thrown, managing to relax before being released to enjoy their well earned reward. During the down time and play time most seemed to congregate around Jackie (Tarquin’s mum), earning herself the title of Pied Piper of Puppies! πŸ˜„πŸΆ

Dog patience is a virtue πŸΆπŸ˜‡

The dogs surprised their owners with how much impulse control they really had. Oscar was definitely top of the class this week with the leave exercise but that doesn’t detract from the amazing work done by everyone else. All the owners were able to call their dogs away from tasty treats with nothing but their enthusiasm and their bond 😊.Amazing work everyone and special thanks to my able assistant and photographer Dasho πŸ€—πŸΎ

Puppies training while playing πŸΆ

Owners (of all ages) did an amazing job getting their pups attention when distracted by having fun play time. The puppies had a great time playing with each other. Tarquin had to take things easy as he had a poorly leg, he would have loved to join in more but accepted he was on light duties. They then focused very well to learn “down” . Great work by all 😊🐢

Lovely lead workΒ

Owners did brilliantly today helping their dogs to focus from excitement and then walking on a loose lead. The owners surprised themselves with how well they managed. Really good work from everyone, including the lovely dogs 🐢😊

Work hard, play hard πŸΆ

As the others were all on holiday or attending events, it was all about Tarquin in this Sunday’s class. His young handlers did a great job with the exercises, keeping the ever distracted Tarquin focused and working hard. As a reward, he got to have a good play with Leo, demonstrating relaxed happy body language πŸ€—πŸΆ

First day at (puppy) school πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“πŸΆ

A lovely morning for me and Leo getting to know some amazing pups and their owners. We had a lovely mix of old friends and new. We all got to know each other’s names, even if the dogs struggled to know theirs! Everyone made a great start to making recall feel like a great thing and taught them the ever useful “touch “. We’re looking forward to week two πŸ˜ƒ. Thank you so much to Dasho Atkin for taking all these fantastic photos. πŸΆπŸΎπŸ€—

Introduction day for dogs πŸΆ

Leo and I had the pleasure of meeting some lovely dogs and their owners at the first class of the new training course. Everyone made friends and worked very well with the recall exercises. They then took on the challenge of gaining eye contact with good spirits given the number of distractions! Amazing effort by all and thank you to Dasho Atkin for taking all these great photos πŸΆπŸΎπŸ€—
